We also feel ready to take the baby’s travel steps once again. Yes, things have changed. And that’s the way it is. So, we decided to start really small. And find places near home. And these include places that are within 100 kilometers. So we can go there and come back in half a day. Also, we are trying to find places where the population is not completely free, even with fewer crowds. Well, if you are from northern India, the journey to the Chota Ladakh Kolar will not be more difficult than those living in the south.
Remember the time when you saw the scattered view of Ladakh on the internet and it felt like you were packing your things and going on a road trip? Well, sometimes you think of yourself when you hope you have a long vacation, or you just want places like Ladakh to be closer to your budget and better.
Yes … you heard right. Ladakh! And we are talking about Dodda Ayur near Bangalore which is popularly known as ‘Little Ladakh’.
Dodda ayur Chhota Ladakh:

Just 1.5 hours away is Doda Aver, a small excavation that has nothing to do with the outside world. If you are looking for a short trip, this is a great place to spend time with your biker group. Due to its remote location, the place is quiet and peaceful. Thanks to the beautiful aquatic body created here and the viewing hills, Dodda Ayur will calm you down and relax your senses. And yes camping is possible in this place but be very careful about the water.
Don’t try to swim because the exact depth is not known. In addition to being an ear, water can also be a chemical ride. However, the shade of water is something you can look forward to. Due to its slight resemblance to the landscape of Ladakh, the place has been named ‘Chota Ladakh Kolar‘.
How to get there?

Dodda Ayur is located 57 km east of Bengaluru. To get here, go to NH 75 and follow Google Maps. When you are about to reach your destination, you need to make some off-road preparations at the end of the journey.
Another possible route is to take the road to HAL Old Airport which takes you there in two hours. What are you waiting for now? Go ahead and fulfill your desire to travel to Ladakh temporarily!
Starting the picnic trip to Chhota Ladakh from Bangalore:

If you are going this way, don’t forget to visit the fresh Muninagara Dam. However, unlike most of our travels, it started on a very comfortable note. As we are located in Whitefield, Bangalore. And the distance from Whitefield to Little Ladakh is only 45 kilometers. So, we decided to start shortly after today. And surprisingly pre-arranged and put together our lunch for the afternoon.
However, the prospect of a picnic forced them to finish all their morning work on time. And the good eater had a good breakfast, the offer of travel also improves our appetite. We left for Chota ladakh kolar at 11 a.m. for an hour, we were already crossing the pumpkins. And at no time did we reach the Kolar Highway.
The Dodda Ayur Village:

After crossing the only toll plaza, started the shooting campaign for Chhota Ladakh. Mr. Google Maps was very helpful. And once he showed us the whole way to the destination. It is a small village where a stone was mined in the past. We saw a few vehicles left out and about.
And we decided to leave ourselves there. After parking the car, we packed up for the picnic and headed to the village. After about 300 meters, we turned left onto the narrow village road. walked through soothing green fields to Dodda Ayur.
The Small Trek to Chhota Ladakh:

After walking about a kilometer, we turned left onto the rocky terrain. And started the easy 5-minute journey to Chota ladakh kolar. Now and then other groups of people were passing by. My guess is that after months of confinement at home, everyone is hungry for fresh air and going out.
In addition, we made sure to keep a safe distance from other groups. And don’t touch any surface anywhere. These precautions are essential in 2020. As soon as we reached Chhota Ladakh, we saw a flat hill. Although there were many groups around. But there is ample scope for people to spread, thus maintaining a safe distance from each other.
What is Chhota Ladakh:

Now that we have reached Chhota Ladakh, let me give you a brief introduction to this place. It was a stone quarry. The hills around the mine are steep, rocky, and barren. It provides a great visual site. And the presence of water cools the air even on a sunny day. Not much to see, but the track is easy, the location is fresh, and the vast expanse of valleys and hills beyond it offers a beautiful view.
It was discovered by a biker a few years ago. He saw some similarities between this place and Ladakh. And so it got the name Chhota Ladakh. However, we could not find any harmony between this place and Ladakh. However, the name is simple and easy to remember. And this is important when you search for a place on Google and ask for directions along the way
Picnic at Chhota Ladakh:

Although, we spent some time on the edge of the ear. And our food was in the shade under a tree on one side. We could undoubtedly sit on a portion of the stones here. We had our food bags and purses on another rock nearby.
After dinner, we would wander around for half an hour and click on pictures. Because we saw another rocky hill on our way to Chota ladakh kolar and wanted to stop there. The scenery here reminded me of my journey in the B R Hills.
From here, we started our journey back to Bangalore and by 5:00 pm we were back home.
