Overview

Himalayas in Himachal’ or one must say Himachal in Himalayas. ‘Him’ in Hindi literally means ice or snow and ‘alaya’ means home, which makes Himalayas ‘The Home of Snow’ and from there Himachal gets its name meaning ‘Land of Snow’.

Highlights

SHIMLA: The cool and pleasant climate of Shimla makes it a renowned summer retreat. It is nestled at an elevation of around twenty-two hundred meters above sea level. The region of Shimla is a beautiful hilly terrain covered with lush greenery all around. Since the Britishers had made Shimla their summer capital, their early influence on major buildings is still quite prominent. For travelers who are lovers of art and architecture, one of the top reasons to visit Shimla should be the unique structure of monuments and other buildings here.

MANALI: Besides natural charm and unparalleled beauty, Manali is known for its unlimited adventure opportunities, the famous Hadimba Temple, the scenic Rohtang Pass, the snow-laden Solang Valley and its delightful culinary scene.
